Ritz Carlton Cancun Luxury for the Whole Family
The Ritz Carlton is known for being one of the top hotel chains in the world. The Ritz Carlton Cancun is no exception. Personally, I never used to think “family friendly” when I heard those two words…Ritz Carlton. But let me tell you – I was wrong. It’s true that you will experience the ultimate in luxury while vacationing at the Ritz Carlton Cancun, but so will your children. They are among the few very smart hotels who recognize that adults who want to be pampered also usually have children. Horray!

The Ritz Carlton Cancun features 365 guestrooms with secluded terraces or balconies overlooking the sea, a 1,200-foot beach, sculpted outdoor swimming pools, a full service Spa, an impressive Culinary Center and award winning restaurants.
While the above are impressive to us adults, babies don’t care as much about fine cuisine or tennis lessons… they’re pretty happy with a warm bottle, a cozy crib and lots of hugs. Thankfully, the Ritz Carlton is able to cater to you as well as your baby. Debuting at their Cancun property are the “Itzy, Bitzy, Ritz Kids Rooms”.
Itzy Bitzy Ritz Kids Rooms
The Ritz Carlton Cancun understands that parents traveling with infants to foreign countries can sometimes find the experience a bit exhausting. With this in mind, three specially designed guest rooms cater just to the needs of the littlest guests and their mother and father. “All you have to do is pack up the baby and get on the airplane. We’ll have everything waiting for you when you arrive, including a room as comfortable and convenient as a home nursery,” said Hermann Elger, general manager.
The Itzy, Bitzy, Ritz Kids Rooms are three deluxe guest rooms which offer several special features. They include a baby's safety approved crib; a changing table over the chest of drawers; a television armoire positioned so as not to disturb baby at naptime; miniature hangars in the closet to fit an infant’s wardrobe; and a telephone programmed to light up, not ring. A “shh, baby sleeping” sign is personalized for every guest and hung on the door to alert others to lower their voices. When the family returns home from their Cancun vacation, the sign is a farewell gift to remind them how easy it was to take baby along.
In addition to retrofitting the room to make it baby friendly, the staff at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun personally contacts you in advance to offer a menu of services and products that can be ordered in advance of your arrival. They will include all the essentials from formula and swimming diapers to infant seats. With so many restrictions on the amount of carry-on luggage now in effect on airlines, this makes the trip to Cancun much easier—and stress free.
