Disney's Pop Century Resort - Disney Vacation Deals!
It’s easy to find Disney vacation deals when you book a room at one of their Value resorts. The Disney Pop Century Resort is themed around different decades in American pop culture. Much like the other resorts in the value category, this property is decorated with giant novelty items themed for a particular decade. There are 2,880 rooms in ten separate buildings, three pool areas, and one central area that houses the front desk, gift shop, arcade and food court. The buildings are four story versions of the three story All-Star Resort buildings. With prices starting at only $82 per night, this equals great Disney vacation deals! Most rooms are available with two double beds. A few rooms have one king-sized bed and are handicapped accessible. The additional room needed to enlarge the bathroom for wheelchair access is taken from the sleeping area. Irons, ironing boards, cribs and hair dryers, and in-room safes are in each room. Each area themed with a specific decade and giant items related to that decade.

The central building of Disney's Pop Century Resort is named Classic Hall, and the facility includes the Main Lobby check-in desk, the Fast Forward arcade and the Everything Pop shop and food court.
Like the other Value Resorts, The Pop Century Resort has a large food court and poolside bar. Dining and shopping options include:
Everything Pop - Everything Pop is both the food court and the gift shop for the resort. The gift shop has products based on the time era (the 1950s-1990s) as well as Disney World merchandise. The food court has five different specialty shops; Bakery, Grill, Market, Pizza, and Ethnic. Another great way to find Disney vacation deals is to look into the different dining plans that Disney offers. You can find Quick Service meals here and save even more!
Grab-N-Go Market - The Grab-N-Go Market is located in back of the Everything Pop food court. The market offers foods that can be carried into the theme parks such as water, muffins and sandwiches.
Petals Pool Bar - Petals is a bar located near the Hippy-Dippy Pool in the 1960s themed area (which is near the Classic Hall lobby).
The second phase of construction for this resort is the Legendary Years - 1900-1940. This part of the resort lies across the Hourglass Lake and is connected by the Generation Gap Bridge. Even though there were huge Disney vacation deals to be had, construction was halted after 9/11 because less people were traveling. As of 2009, the "Legendary Hall" building and a few of the units have been constructed but aren’t finished. You can see the buildings on the right hand side of the entrance to Pop Century. The completed resort was supposed to have an additional 2,880 rooms on the "Legendary" side, as a mirror image to the "Classic" side.
The parking lot for the Legendary Years section was completed during the earlier phase of construction, and occasionally is used as overflow parking for Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
Recreation includes:
Hippy Dippy Pool - is 235,000 gallons and is the feature pool. It’s located near the 1960's buildings and just outside the food court and main lobby. The entire pool is shaped like a big flower with 4 flower showers on the pool deck that spray water into the pool.
Hippy Dippy Kids Pool - has fountains that shoot out from the center. The deck around the kiddie pool is padded so children are able to play carefree
Computer Pool - is considered the quiet pool and is located near the 1990’s buildings. This pool is shaped like a computer monitor and has an enormous spongy, soft floor keyboard deck that’s located near the back of the pool behind the pool chairs.
Goofy Kiddie Spray Area – is an interactive play fountain located between the '60s and '70s section.
Bowling Pool - is another quiet pool located near the 1950’s buildings. The pool is in the shape of a bowling pin and the pool deck is like the bowling lane.
Jogging Trail - a 1.38-mile trail located around Disney's Pop Century Resort complex. Trail maps are available at the Concierge in the Classic Hall building.
Fast Forward Arcade – there are plenty of video and pinball games at the Fast Forward Arcade located in the Classic Hall building—across from the Everything Pop Food Court.
Playground - is located in the 60’s section. Children can climb, slide and play to their hearts content!
