Atlantis in Bahamas

We went to Atlantis in Bahamas (there is now another location as well) for our family vacation! What an amazingly fabulous time!

One thing that always surprises me is how this resort can be so luxurious and yet so family friendly - all at the same time!

No matter which of the several hotels you choose to stay at in this resort, you will find yourself surrounded by luxury and unlimited activities. It is a fantasy destination with relaxation, excitement, outdoor fun, upscale shopping and childrens playground all wrapped into one resort.

Why I Love Atlantis in The Bahamas

  • ultra luxurious hotel rooms
  • you feel really comfortable with children there because it is made for family vacations
  • everything is always clean and well kept
  • friendly staff - always ready to help - all the time
  • wide range of activities for the whole family
  • the unique architecture - it is really a fantasy come to life!
  • white sandy beaches, clear crystal clear blue ocean
  • upscale boutique shoppping
  • the casino
  • the amazing 141 acre atlantis water park
  • warm tropical weather almost year round
  • wide variety of rainy day indoor activities too
  • the massive underground aquarium
  • the wide variety of fun kids activities
  • child care program
  • relaxing by one of the many pools after a hard day of fun! LOL
  • the pier where huge yachts are docked
  • many, many choices of where and what to eat
  • it is a fantasyland

What I Don't Like About Atlantis

  • it is a fantasyland - yes this was also on my "love about it " list! While I do love the fantasy, I also love getting immersed in the culture and reality of a vacation destination - and Atlantis is not a true experience of the Bahamas.

    If you feel the same, you can always remedy this by taking a short trip outside the resort and go exploring!

  • Atlantis can be really expensive unless you know some insider secrets

I had seen so many breathtaking pictures of this resort and heard all about the fun activities there. For so long I fantasized about our whole extended family going but just couldn't get my mind around how we could afford it.
